1. Who we are
flexwoomemberships.com is run by FlexWoo Memberships (“we”, “us”). We make FlexWoo Memberships, a membership and subscription plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce, and its Pro add-on. For anything in this policy, write to support@flexwoomemberships.com.
2. Information we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you, sell and support our software, and keep this website running:
- Contact form. Your first and last name, e-mail address, subject, message and your agreement to our terms. Messages are stored on this website and sent to our support inbox.
- Purchases and licences. When you buy Pro, our reseller collects your name, e-mail address, billing address, tax details and payment details to process the order and issue your licence key. We receive your name, e-mail address, the plan you bought and your licence status. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Support. Anything you choose to send us while we help you, such as screenshots, system information or temporary access to a site.
- Website usage. Our web server and security tools record technical data such as IP address, browser, pages visited and the time of the visit, to keep the site secure and working.
- Inside the plugin. The free plugin does not send your store’s data to us. If the plugin asks you to opt in to updates, security notices or usage data and you agree, basic information about the site (such as its URL, WordPress and PHP versions, and the e-mail of the admin who opted in) is shared with our licensing partner. You can opt out at any time from the plugin’s account screen.
Your members’ and customers’ data that FlexWoo Memberships stores on your website stays on your website. You are the controller of that data, and we do not have access to it.
3. How we use information
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To process purchases, deliver licence keys, updates and renewal reminders.
- To send service e-mails about your account, licence or security issues.
- To send product news, only if you asked for it. Every such e-mail has an unsubscribe link.
- To protect this website and our customers from fraud and abuse.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing our business, your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), and legal obligations.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, under their own privacy and security commitments:
- our reseller and payment partner, Freemius, Inc., which acts as the merchant of record for Pro purchases, handles payments, taxes and invoices, and issues licences;
- our web hosting and e-mail providers;
- professional advisers and authorities when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and users.
Some of these providers are located outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards they provide for international transfers.
5. Cookies
This website uses cookies that are needed for it to work, such as remembering a signed-in session and protecting forms from spam. Our reseller’s checkout uses its own cookies to complete a purchase securely. If we add analytics or marketing cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then stop working.
6. How long we keep information
We keep contact-form messages and support conversations for as long as needed to help you and for a reasonable time afterwards, usually no longer than three years. Purchase and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. Server logs are kept for a short time for security. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
- restrict or object to how we use it, or withdraw consent you gave;
- transfer your information to you or another provider.
To make a request, e-mail support@flexwoomemberships.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to our systems is limited and protected, and payment details are handled by our payment partner, never stored by us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
9. Children
Our website and products are meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Other websites
Our pages link to other websites, such as WordPress.org, WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal and Razorpay. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services or the law change. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by e-mail.
